Something New and Uplifting Everyday!!

We love Sundays around here. They are quiet and restful. And after a busy week we need Sundays...don't you?

A few updates on my family...

We have decided not to go on vacation. Our business has taken a hit with the slower economy and we just don't want to spend money we don't have. At first we were all really, really bummed. But after much thought we realized that the only thing about vacation that we'll truly miss is being together without interruptions. Soooooo...

We are planning a few "mini" getaways to our local theme park/water park, game nights and all night movie thons. Last night we enjoyed burgers on the grill, awesome conversation then a family game night of one of our faves...Tripoly.

The other good thing about not going on vacation is I get to keep up with my Blog, continue reading yours and doing some art and scrappy projects. Looking forward to all of that:)

So, are you ready for a little something uplifting everyday? Couldn't we all use a bit of inspiration?

I know I could.

Soooo...if you "LIKE" Words of Me on Facebook, every single day be on the lookout for a little something from me to make your brighter. It might be a quote, a project idea, a link to some great blog I found...you get the idea. Anything that will make you smile. Will make your life better.

Anything that will inspire you to be a better YOU:)

Of course if you already "LIKE" me on FB you can visit my page....if you still need to "LIKE" me please click here.

I'm off to church and to spend the day with my family. Have a wonderful day, girls!!

  1. Dear Leslie-I hope you have a GREAT Sunday!! I am sorry to hear about your family business and not going on vacation this summer however...I agree with you...many times, what appears to be a negative can bring us the most beautiful gifts and treasures. I am so glad that you have the insight to know that and to share it with us. Strangely enough-that's what my blog post today is about:)xxx

  3. Good call Leslie! That's what we did this summer. With the latest vehicle purchase it will be even longer until we get to go on a big vacation. Staying out of debt makes it all worth it though: ) Enjoy!!

  6. I want to make sure that as much as possible that everyone else in the group is aware of when you post something for our group so that you will receive visits. We now have 99 participants. That is so great! Because we are so large, it is not possible to visit each and every post that every member puts up; so when you post something related to The Artistic Mother's Art group, I would suggest that you start your title off with "Artistic Mother" to maximize your chances of others from the group paying you a visit. I look at the blog roll for our group every day; and when I see those words, I automatically know that this is a post that I don't want to miss. Please continue to check the blog roll on my blog for Artistic Mother Group related posts on a regular basis so that we can continue to encourage one another in our efforts to do a little something creative each day. Only five show at a time. Just click "Show All" to see all of the blogs.

  7. We are just doing a mini vacation to Disneyland this year. Both of our kids get in free, and we won''t be able to go on another family trip like that until my husband is done with school in 2014-2015. I think it is wise to keep it close to home when you can, plus it is always a blast with family:)
