Embracing the Hard Times

Worry never robs
 tomorrow of its sorrow,
 it only saps today
of its joy.

  ~Leo Buscaglia

Life has been CRAZY.
No time to blog
or
create
or
BREATHE.

My stress level
is
very
very
high.

Some days
I want to

cry.

I mean have a full-blown,
sob in my pillow,
hypervenilating,

cry.

Page from my art journal.

I can't think of
any other time in my
life when I was
more stressed
or
worried
or
sad.

This past
week
I have
been thinking
about

everything.

have
decided
I
need
to
just
be
happy
with
where
am

RIGHT  NOW.

My art journal

A peacefulness
follows any decision,
even the wrong one.

 ~Rita Mae Brown

I need to
Embrace
the good
the bad
the ugly.

I need to fall in love with my life again.

My art journal

People often say
that this or that person
has not yet found himself.
 But the self is not
something one finds,
it is something one creates.

~Thomas Szasz, "Personal Conduct," The Second Sin, 1973

  1. I know you are not in a good place right now... but you are not alone in this journey. You have a lot of people walking this journey with you and we are ready to be leaned on, and just listen. Love you with all my heart!

  2. I did that today.Wept so much for Maddie's future. My life is mental at the moment and don't see it getting any better for a long time. I need to change the way I look at things I think. Just thinking aloud...OK..you will get through this time...it will be this time that you compare the great times to. I think we need the big ups and the big downs to put each day into perspective too. For wouldn't life be boring if every day was peachy...Tho i reckon a lottery win wouldn't go astray...heeheehee...take care Leslie...xxx

  3. Oh, dear friend. I have been thinking about you like crazy lately. (must be something in the universe telling me that you need some extra support). Call me when you need to talk . . . Write me if you need to write . . . Give yourself a big hug and know that I am here. I don't know all that is crushing your spirit lately, but I do know that you and I are very similar . . . When life hits us hard, we have to allow ourselves time to crash and process and rest the soul before we are able to get up again. It's ok. Allow yourself this time. And know that you are NOT alone. BIG HUGS!

  4. Sorry to hear you're having the blues.. I had a bout with that not too long ago myself, but thankfully that lasted only a couple of days, and I seemed to shake it off from there... that or it's just lying around temporarily dormant for the time being. Whatever the case, I hope you're feeling better soon. I loved seeing the Rita Mae Brown quote. She's one of my favorite authors, and I collect all her books I can find, by her AND Sneaky Pie Brown! I'll have to look up more of her quotes!.. Take care, and hope things look up for you soon! ((hugs)) ~tina
