Friday Faves

So ready for Friday...but man am I BUSY!! WOW!! It's non-stop from today till next Sunday-WHEW! I am gonna try and fit it all in...:)

Here is my list of a few things I'm loving this week...

1. Summer. I mean I can't say it enough. Summer is great. The warm, sunny school schedules or homework and late night movies and talks. The BEST!

2. My Girl {and her birthday}. Yeah, I know it was a few weeks ago, just now sharing the photos...

Miss Em the night before her 13th birthday at A&G. This is the coolicious card Grams gave her!!

That's me and Em at Legends in Kansas City on her special day. We had been shopping all day {note my cool new tee shirt!}. Legends is such a beautiful shopping area!

The cake at Dave and Busters...Death by Chocolate!!

This is Em with her amazing, one of a kind Daddy!! He gave her a dozen pink roses!! {see how skinny my man has gotten!!} That necklace and shirt she is wearing is from me!!

3. This week I have a new appreciation and respect for my son Jackson. Man, I love this kid!!!!

This was taken at A&G the night before Em's day.

4. You gotta go see Shrek!!! It is a hoot!!

We have made Shrek a part of Em's birthday celebration every since the series began!!

5. These two girls...Yvy and Em...

They share the same Birthday and have had their photo taken on their special day for the past 3 years!! Em is 13 and Yvy is 4:)

I would love to hear your Friday Faves from the week!!

A few more things...I owe you {and myself} words from the past 2 weeks.

So from the week of Em's Birthday {may22} my word is

not proud or arrogant; modest: to be humble although successful.
having a feeling of insignificance, inferiority, subservience, etc.: In the presence of so many world-famous writers I felt very humble.
low in rank, importance, status, quality, etc.; lowly: of humble origin; a humble home.
courteously respectful: In my humble opinion you are wrong.
low in height, level, etc.; small in size: a humble member of the galaxy.

I was so overwhelmed by my pain towards the end of the week and so humbled when I was led to find relief.

Last week my word was

rousing; quickening: an awakening interest in ballet.
the act of awaking from sleep.
a revival of interest or attention.
a recognition, realization, or coming into awareness of something: a rude awakening to the disagreeable facts.
a renewal of interest in religion, esp. in a community; a revival.

I chose this word to describe how I feel finding my new chiropractor. I have enjoyed a pain free week!! To wake up everyday ready to go and have energy without a nagging headache or neck pain and not taking an entire bottle of Excedrin  has been WONDERFUL!!!!

My office is really coming along...although you wouldn't know it yet!:) LOL!!!! I have cleared nearly 3 bags of old papers, magazines and junk out of here!! And because of this class I'm taking I have been inspired to utilize a piece of furniture in a new and creative way. Can't wait to finish so I can share!!! I said at the beginning my life is NUTS in the next week! We have Em's soccer tournament tomorrow in KC then our church's big conference Sunday in Platte City. Today I have to get Em packed for Girl's Camp, finish this office space and catch up on laundry. Monday I can breathe a bit but then Tuesday through Friday I'm helping at Girl's camp early morning till night...we are preparing the food and clean-up. Friday we leave for Columbia for the Show Me Games in Columbia for Em's 3V3 soccer Tournament.

WHEW!!! Soooo, I may not get around to posting much. I know there are several of you I need to get interview questions to AND I'm taking my on-line course. I'm exhausted just thinking of all of this!!!

Tell me about a time in your life when you were going non-stop. How did you manage to do it all?!!?? I would love to hear your comments!

  1. So nice to see read how full of energy you are! You sound busy but HAPPY!!! That's great!

  2. god is so good, so happy you are pain-free! going non-stop? i try to make sure that doesn't happen too much these days! been a while since i had kids at home and my life revolved around others to take care of(besides sweet hubby)! my best advice is to be good at saying "no, i would love to, but i just can't at this time"! LOL!!
    be good to yourself...

  3. Such a great week, huh? Gotta say - I LOVE the layered colors of the shirts Em is wearing at Dave & Busters - she might be the inspiration for my very next scrapbook page! aDORable! All the pics from this week are fabu! And I'm waiting to see what you have up your sleeve for your office!!! Sounds super exciting!

Have a great weekend, dear friend!

p.s. Take care of yourself and don't do TOO much, now that your are feeling a little better. Make sure you are still listening to your body, ok?

  4. This is such a crazy time of year isn't it! And I only have one kid not even in school yet lol. So far we have had kindergarten registration, testing, and orientation all on different days lol. I take everything a week at a time and then a day at a time and lists lots of lists. Ps we saw shrek and cracked up the entire time!

  5. Love the Twilight card! Grandma has good taste : )

School ended this week, that is my Friday fave for sure ; )

I'm going to be in your neck of the woods from the 16th-18th. I know I'll take a trip to Legends. E-mail me and maybe we could meet up!

Have a wonderful last blast of activity and soccer before summer!
