Girls, I have a vision...a BIG vision. I am listening to my HEART and it is telling me to have an art retreat. One that brings us together...in a peaceful place when we can learn and grow from one another. I need YOU to help!! If you are at all interested in TEACHING an art class would you please leave a comment?? Tell me what you can do/would like to do. I am thinking about having this either this coming spring or next fall.
The retreat would be 3 days/2 nights and filled with art and inspiration and spirit and lots of JOY.
Let me know your thoughts!!!!
Count me in, my friend!!! YOU can MAKE THIS HAPPEN, and I am here for you. Whatever I can do to help . . . . I BELIEVE IN YOU!!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's exciting...and ambitious, Leslie! I would love to participate, but I just don't think I can commit right now. But I am thinking: year 2? Can't wait to watch this develop!
ReplyDeleteWhere are you from??
ReplyDeleteOh Leanne...I am soooo excited about you coming along for the ride!! And Andria...Year 2 ....u got it!!:) I would love for you to share your mail art with us:) Faith...I am in Northwest Missouri.
ReplyDeleteMore info . . . but I am definitely interested! Keep me in mind!
ReplyDeleteHi Leslie--I feel a little silly being specific with all the good wishes being posted...but I would love to be involved in this. I delight in teaching ANYthing I know, not as an "expert" but as a cheerleader, helping others see that they, too, can conquer things. I would be happy to learn enough to teach anything you would want...I have already done some teaching of developing a photographer's eye (not the nuts and bolts of your camera--but noticing the pictures to be taken and seeing good composition), scrapbooking, interactive pages/art (pockets, flaps, windows, movable pieces), journaling, art as grief therapy/memory art, and more. Keep me posted as things develop more fully! (I'm in Ohio, so within driving distance of middle america.)
ReplyDeleteHello Leslie! I just saw this post on our Magically Mixed Art Community on facebook. What an inspired idea! I'm an elementary school teacher turned artist and writer. I host a creative meetup group and am also currently dreaming up creative enrichment workshops to offer to my tutoring students. I love to gather creative community. I have no idea where this next year will find me, but I'm very interested in hearing about the evolution of your art retreat idea. Would love to participate somehow. Let's keep in touch!
ReplyDeleteWould love to learn more. I do commission artwork and I occasionally teach non-painting friends how to explore their creativity with Acrylic/mixed media painting. I LOVE to teach -- I am a former elementary school teacher. I live in Northwest Arkansas.
ReplyDeleteI am an infant in my new work....would love to, but I do have alot of experience journaling....I could maybe help someone with that....
ReplyDeleteor donote more journals....I have some of the older ones...I am no longer working on ....right now....lol...or journal kits...I have a few of those...
DeleteI am in California but would love to know more about where you are headed with this. Perhaps I could help coordinate an online component and teach/learn from afar? Great opportunity to learn more about logistics and mechanics of facilitating a retreat. Of course I am always up for a trip and meeting new people so if dates work out could consider participating in person. would love to explore....lets chat!
