"At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person.Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us." -Albert Schweitzer
Who, in your life, is rekindling your Spark?
Here's to one amazing day of GRATITUDE!! {it's our WORD of the week!}
So I have thought long and hard about the word of the week " gratitude" and who ignites me. I would have to say that it would be hard for me to narrow it down as I am grateful for so much in my life. To name a few I would start with my son. I am grateful to have such a beautiful child. I am proud to be his mother. I enjoy teaching him, and have come to realize that he to has taught me so much. Especially patience. He has also taught me that I can love someone like I never thought I was capable of. I am very grateful for my Fiancé. My best friend. As he has stood beside me through thick and thin. He has always been there no matter what to offer his support. Sometimes even though I may not like it he is even there to tell me when I an wrong and need to relax. If you know me personally you realize I need someone to keep me level from time to time. I am grateful for all the things he does without being asked. Lastly I am thankful for my parents. Thy have always done whatever it takes to raise me right. They supported me and made sure I always knew how much I was loved. They taught me to be the person I am today. Especially my Father. Who has taught me to rise up even when you are faced with crisis. He always taught me to make the best of a situation. He is my hero, and I his number one admirer. I am truly thankful to be his Little girl!
ReplyDeleteOkay sorry this is really long :(
I would say Christ rekindles my spark : ) The world may dim it but His love for me keeps it going! As for a physical person, I would say my hubby!

I love your blog. I am visiting from the monkey tribe and will be coming back for more.
ReplyDeleteI am lucky to have a found a tiny circle of best friends - women like me who have kids similar ages to mine and take me as I am. We bounce ideas of each other and encourage each other so I'm very grateful for them.
ReplyDeleteI love your theme of gratitude. I really thought about President Hinckley's quote all day today. We do have so much... I hope that I am continually grateful.

Alpha Hubby. He truly is my best friend and always has MY best interests in mind, helping me become the best ME I can be. He supports me, believes in me, loves me, and recently helped me to get re-focused back on what I am supposed to be doing, rather than feeling lost and undone like I had been. When someone *sees* you, REALLY sees you, and knows you well enough to help you past the mullygrubs, well that is a Spark Kindler!
