That used to sound so very, very ancient to me. Like when my Mom turned 40. Wow! She was over the hill.
I am looking forward to this year like none before. For the first time in my life I know where I'm going. I know what I believe. I know my life is blessed....and I am grateful.
We are always the same age inside.

I have everything I need today. A loving family. Friends. My Church. My Savior and Heavenly Father. I have my talents...writing...creating...inspiring.
And I have YOU. Each one of you mean the world to me.
One of the signs of passing youth is the birth of a sense of fellowship with other human beings as we take our place among them.

ReplyDeleteI hope you had a wonderful day full of love and smiles and all of your favorite things. I was watching Oprah today and they were talking about how, in your 40's, you are really just beginning. No stress of the 20's trying to discover yourself or of the 30's trying to please everyone, the 40's really are the days when you know what you want, how to get it and appreciate what you have.
I hope your day and year is all that you want it to be and MORE.
Love love love, Kristin xoxoxo

ReplyDeleteLeslie, a Happy Birthday to ya!! (Sorry a day late) I love your attitude about it, I will be turning 40 at the end of the year and not sure how I feel about that...of course, it's better than not turning 40 at all! ;) I'll have to adopt your great attitude and make 40 and the years beyond the best ones ever! Sure do love ya!
