5 Random Movies That I LOVE

I love movies. Scary movies, comedies, dramas. war movies, silly movies, Disney movies, 80's movies, 70's movies, classic movies. I love them ALL!! I also happen to be in love with lists and make lists out of everything. So as I sit here on a quiet Sunday night I thought it would be fun to share 5 of my FAVORITE movies and why I love them so much. So in no particular here are 5 movies that I LOVE.

1) The Graduate. I first saw this film my Junior year in college for a film class. Not only do I love this movie but I LOVE it!!! This was Dustin Hoffman's first and I must say one of his best. From the cool camera shots to the outstanding soundtrack....this is one movie I have seen many times.

2) Sweet Home Alabama. When it comes to romantic comedies this has all the elements of a good one. Reese Witherspoon is perfect as a sassy, spunky southern girl who thinks she has it all until she goes back to her not-so-perfect southern roots. Patrick Dempsey stars. LOVE....

3) Nacho Libre. Okay....so this one might have surprised you. It's one of those movies you either you either love or hate. In the Ackman Family it's our most quoted film. We LOVE it!!!

4) I just happen to LOVE a good scary movie. You know one of those edge of your seat nail biters. Skelton Key happens to be one of those movies. I have seen this film at least 10 times and still get chills at the ending.

5) Yep, another RomCom...Notting Hill with Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant. I have watched this flick a dozen times and never get tired of it. Cute, sweet and one of the best romantic movie endings EVER!!! A definite LOVE:)

So there ya' go. 5 movies I LOVE. What about you? I would love to hear yours!!

  3. I go to the movies A LOT. Especially this summer when it's been hot and my wee little condo doesn't have a/c. I just saw "The Odd Life of Timothy Green" and thought it was good - wouldn't make it onto a list of Five though. My five --

    Gone With The Wind
    You've Got Mail
    Pulp Fiction
3:10 to Yuma (the new one)
    Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Slayer

    That's today - I may have a different list tomorrow ;-)

    Hugs,
    Kay

    4) Ever After
    5) How to Lose a Guy in 10 days

  5. Dear Leslie-I am not really a movie person but once in a while I like a scary one too. Have to check out Skeleton Key. Is that Kate Hudson?? I left a comment the other day on yoyr previous post but then the computer decided to eat it up:) But I love that you have decided to embrace your artistic style ( a few posts down) and then share your story with us all. All of your fears + vulnerabilities are ones we all have...yes...it's just so difficult to believe in ourselves/our work/what we do. as I get older I realise that not everyone is going to like us/get us/agree with us and...it's okay:) What's important is that we like ourSELVES. Also...I am so jealous that you get to walk your little booty off...I am going to P.T. for my knee and hope I can get back to my workouts soon.xxx

  7. Nacho Libre is my absolute favorite movie and my kids too. We quote it all the time as well. We always joke about our stretchy pants.

  8. Notting Hill has been a favorite of mine since it first came out!!! "I'm just a girl, standing in front of a guy, asking him to love her." AHHHHH!!!!! Definitely one of my favorites. I'm also a big fans of "When Harry Met Sally", "You've Got Mail", "Gone With The Wind", "Singing' In The Rain" and "Steele Magnolia". I guess I'm a major chick flick sort of movie girl!
