Class is {nearly} Ready to Begin!

"Your vision will become clear
only when you look into your heart ...
Who looks outside, dreams.
 Who looks inside, awakens."
  -Carl Jung

I'd like to tell you I always listen to my heart. I don't. Most days I go about doing what I feel I am obligated to do rather than what my heart is telling me to do. I'm that way with my art, too. I need to loosen up, play and put on canvas what my heart wants...without censorship from my brain.

There is one area of my life I am good at "doing what the heart wants" and that is writing. For me writing is my heart. Ninety nine percent of the time I share exactly what comes to mind rather than editing it to death.

For the past year I have known I've wanted to share an e-course with you. Many ideas would pop in my head but nothing would stick. Nothing made me heart sing. Then the New Year came around and I took a class called Body Restoration from Brave Girl Melody Ross. WOW. Melody knows what she's doing. Her class has helped me realize areas I'm stuck in and has helped me move forward in my life.

I know what I want to share with you. I know because my heart has told me. And I love that.

Beginning Monday, March 12th join me for my very first e-course...

6 Weeks: Mind.Body Soul.

This class is all about...

*renewing
*believing
*realizing
*creating
*trusting
*doing

From March 12th-April 16th join me for 6 weeks of art journaling prompts, ideas to move you forward in life, healthy recipe ideas, motivating quotes, techniques, a few special guests and more.

Each week revolves around a theme/word/idea with our goal being to incorporate positive energy and uplifting ways to refresh our daily lives. When we are happy with ourselves a whole world of opportunity opens up to us. We can create better. We can be better friends, wives, mothers. We have a spring in our step and a smile on our face that's real and heartfelt.

I have created a Facebook Group for this class called Mind.Body.Soul and already have added a few of you to it. {silly FB wouldn't let me create the group without adding friends. If I added you and you don't want to be in the group...please let me know}.

The goal of  the Facebook Group is to not only to chat and get to know one another but also a place to share your art with us! Be sure and click here to be a part of the group.

I will post the week's curriculum on the blog each Monday. Throughout the week enjoy more ideas as well as some guest posts. You can check into our FB group page as well...my Fan Page will NOT be used for this class.

There are just a few things you need for the class...most of which you probably already have.

*an art journal of your choice.
*notebook to write in
*tracing paper or vellum
*pattern paper
*adhesive, mod podge, etc.
*anything fun you want to embellish with...buttons, stencils, inks, stamps, glitter, stickers, etc.

If you have ANY questions PLEASE ask!! You can email me at  les262@embarqmail.com or ask here in the Comment section. If you are interested go the Facebook Group and join there. I would love to get an idea of how many of you are interested!!!!:)

One more note...along with Art Journaling we will be creating a few other things:)

Enjoy girls...looking forward to this with my WHOLE HEART!

  1. ok Im not really into the art journaling thing yet. honestly not sure if I want to be, just because my plate is pretty full already, but I really need some renewing, realizing and doing. I need to refocus on being healthy, happy and less stressed. So Im going to give it a shot.

  3. I asked to join the group via FB. Don't really do a lot with FB so what is the benefit of the group? Just wondering. I'm signed up for the art journaling class that Junelle is teaching (starting March 13 or so). So I'll tie together what I learn.

I may get behind but I promise I'll do my best!

    Hugs,
    Kay

  7. This sounds perfect! You and I are so on the same page, Leslie! I'm not sure I'll be able to keep up but I'll definitely try. Any plans on a e-course button to share on my blog? This positive energy is exactly what I'm going for with my new direction. Yea!

  15. I'm a little shy (scared?) of Facebook, and am just wishing you had a Mr. Linky, or a Flicker group maybe?? I definitely don't mean to tell you how to run things by any means, but I'm just wondering, as I wish I could see everybody else's work, if indeed they are posting it somewhere? Maybe you could list participants' names on your right side bar, that I could click on and visit?... Other than that, I'm really enjoying participating so far, and thank you so much for offering this e-course for free. It's the only way, right now, that I can take one! ((Big Hugs)) ~tina
