What's on My Work Desk

What's on my Work Desk today?

Well, for starters I have been dealing with pain issues every since Sunday. Migraines and now nerve issues. Years ago I cracked my C-2 in my neck and the pain can become unbearable at times. This is one of those times. Having a massage in an hour. I know this will help and am so grateful for Annie!!

Ok, so here's what I'm doing...

I have this fabulous space to work in...
Built in cabinets and shelves...

And while I love it...I have to stand to create...which normally I enjoy.

But this darn old body of mine keeps hurting so sitting is better some days.

So very soon this...

My daughter's desk she no longer needs in her room is going to become my art desk so I can sit when I need to. It is going in here...

This is our guest room downstairs which I'm slowly converting into my art area.

So now I guess I'll have several spaces to create:)

Be sure and stop by Julia's Blog to see all the delicious Work Spaces out there today.

Do you sit or stand when creating?

  2. Ohhhh - les!!! I love the font you are using! So cute . . . but so sorry you have been feeling so rotten. I'm praying for you and your health, honey.

The workspace is AWESOME . . . love the new/old desk of Em's that you'll soon be using. Very cool! Me? I think I usually sit when I create - but sometimes (when painting with an easel) I'll stand. Guess it depends on what it is that I'm doing.

    Take care, honey. Hugs!

  3. I love that you're creating a new art space for yourself! I share mine with our guest room too (used to be my hubby's office, but with laptops he's moved himself to the great room). He's a great guy! I like to sit when I work but I do find myelf standing a lot. Especially if I'm working on something new - like a new concept - and I'm not sure what supplies I need. Can't wait to see your finished space! :-)

  4. Hoope by now that massage has worked its magic and you are getting some relief. I live with pain most days - and there isn't much I can take. Massage is good, heat and jacuzzi baths help as well. Love your art studio. I am hoping to work on mine (finally!) in a couple of weeks once school is done.

  5. Leslie, I hope that massage helped with your pain. So sorry it keeps coming back! Congratulations on the new desk and art room...that is very exciting! I usually sit to do my journaling and crafting, though I have taken to standing at the kitchen counter when I paint because I like to be near the sink and lots of easily washed spaces! And I stand at the kitchen island if I have to keep my eye on my girls in the family room. Happy WOYWW!
