You will ...Congratulations on the new job you have. You will enjoy this age group, I'm sure!

Balancing acts - when to work, play, sleep, eat - etc. It will come together. Some things of course, you'll find you have less time for - and maybe that's all right, because typically those things might be the "time wasters" anyhow.

Prioritize.

Loosen/lighten your expectations. It's really ok if you don't get laundry done every Monday and Thursday (or whatever!). It isn't going anywhere!

Definitely be prepared (as much as possible - grin!) for the teaching. The kids will expect it, and you'll feel much better and on top of things.

Do you keep a notebook of ideas to blog about? I find that helpful. Even if you can't get to a computer to compose, set pen to paper and spin off a draft. That connection can be a good one to make again, especially in the digital age.Srsly Mehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00432432490958157902noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6834958948586521727.post-63715382513347142792010-09-07T22:39:41.311-05:002010-09-07T22:39:41.311-05:00congrats on being a seminary teacher - you will be...congrats on being a seminary teacher - you will be exhausted but love it! I don't know if I should cut something out or what, but I am feeling it too. Thank you for sharing your struggle and congrats on your new calling, xoKristinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09492839042151189777noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6834958948586521727.post-22095603744916201982010-09-07T08:12:15.823-05:002010-09-07T08:12:15.823-05:00Congrats! I know when I get up early and read my Bible before the day starts my day is so much better. Besides, you'll find you learn so much more when you are teaching others. I can't wait to hear how it goes!

200th post? Things ebb and flow. For awhile, there may be more take-out (Pizza, anyone?) and the house may be a bit more "lived in". It's okay. Those things matter little in the grander scheme. What will you wish for on your deathbed? That you drove the kids somewhere when another parent could have picked them up once in a while? That you hadn't let the laundry pile up that one time (or three, or four times)? I'll bet not. Take the opportunities to do all things you haven't done -- especially the ones that frighten you. You won't be perfect. You won't be the best at everything. But you will learn *so much*. And then things will settle down and you'll cook gourmet meals every night for a month. Or something. Ebb and flow, baby. Ebb and flow.Sushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09184460047216084152noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6834958948586521727.post-59274157633621471152010-09-06T11:50:11.095-05:002010-09-06T11:50:11.095-05:00That is amazing!!
