Instagram, Workouts and a Birthday

Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not.
- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Life is Beautiful folks. Even when it seems all is tumbling down before you...it is GRAND.

This week I am looking forward to...

1. My NEW Instagram account is LONG overdue. Now I already have an IG account for my art and daily life...but I have been wanting to begin a fitness/healthy life one for over a year. I finally took the plunge! I will be posting my Journey to Health and Fitness both Body and Soul as I turn the Big 5-0 this October!!
This is me after this morning's workout. Scary, right?!:)

I was feeling AMAZING here!! Proud of myself!! You can find me and follow along at fitat50HeartandSoul

2. Getting back in my Scriptures. I need to listen to the Lord. He nags me daily to READ and study but I always push Him away and say Not Now. Well this week it's time.

3. Creating my O,P, Q, and R tags for our ABC's of Inspiration Tags in our FB group. You can play along, too!! There is no deadline!!

4. My sweet girl is 19 this week!!

She is soooo incredibly BEAUTIFUL on the inside and out. She SHINES! Oh she has been through so much in her young life but has come out filled with Peace and Love. She is a Marvel I tell you. Blows me away with her Love for others. LOVE YOU PRISM MOON!!!!!

What about YOU, girls? What is on your Heart this week? What GOOD things do you have to look forward to this week? Please share!!

My Top 5 This Week

Always do your best. What you plant now, you will harvest later. Og Mandino

This has been a week of ups and downs. But all in all I have learned so much and am grateful! Here are my Top 5 from this week!!

5. Spending time with my family on Mother's Day was the BEST. From a surprise visit to church by my son to steaks on the grill to seeing the movie "Mother's Day". It was a perfect day and I am BLESSED!

Us from last August in Birmingham, Alabamba

4. I TRULY am learning to find Joy in the Journey. I have had my share of depression throughout the past 4 years but this year has been a TRUE turning point. My sweet girl has taught me so much along with our journey with Anasazi and reading The Four Agreements.

3. My husband and I are enjoying a series on Netflix right now called "The Sixties". This documentary type series is produced by Tom Hanks. There is also "The Seventies" and "The Eighties" which we plan on watching. It's fascinating learning about our history!

2. I have found Pic Monkey!! And it's changing my world!! I signed up for the full year and am LOVING it. My goal is to create my own MEMES daily to uplift and inspire.

Here is one I made using an old journal page of mine...

Feel free to share it!!

Here is one I made this morning using a photo I took last May of a peony in my daughter's Birthday Bouquet.

Pic Monkey is a blast!

And my NUMBER ONE love this week is the fact I am getting back to what I LOVE so much...WRITING! I plan on writing more here and I have joined up with the #100 Days of_____ Project so I can write some more:) My 100 Days is called "100 Days of My Life. Each day I will be sharing a photo of my life along with a short story on Instagram. You can follow that here.

What is YOUR Top 5 from the week?!

Write Down Those Dreams

“The trouble is if you don’t spend your life yourself, other people spend it for you.”
― Peter ShafferFive Finger Exercise: A Play

I need a new routine.
One that helps me be productive.
Lately I have just felt like I am spinning my wheels...
spending my days not accomplishing a whole lot.

That doesn't feel good.

I have been so inspired by my FB friend Kelli May Krenz and her #100 Days of You. In Day 5 she talks about planting our Dream Seeds. I LOVE the imagery of that!! Kelli reminds us to WRITE OUR DREAMS DOWN. I know that seems so simple yet I don't always do that...

So the rest of the week I am dedicating to writing down my Dreams. Each Dream gets a page so I can plan every little step to make it come true.

Here are some GREAT tips from Action for Happiness

To get the most from this action it is important that you:
  • Write things down
  • Commit to do it for at least 20 minutes a day for at least four days
  • Only try it if you think it will be a meaningful or challenging thing to do
Ready to try it? Ok here goes…
  1. Get set. Get yourself a notebook and a pen (or use your computer). Make sure you can have at least twenty minutes undisturbed. (We have done this action at home, in a café, even on the train).
  2. Imagine. Now imagine yourself in the future - say 5 or 10 years from now - after everything has gone as well as it possibly could from now. You've worked hard and succeeded at accomplishing all your life goals and made the most of your talent and potential. Think about all aspects of your life - your home, work, relationships, leisure activities etc.
  3. Start writing. Keep going for 20 minutes, or longer if you want to. Remember - there are no rules to this, just start to describe what comes into your mind about your dreams for the future. No need to try to 'get it right'. There is no right answer. This is for you, no one else need see it.
  4. Continue. Carry on doing this for another three days (or more if you want). You may want to read over what you wrote on previous days and continue from there, getting into more detail or new thoughts may have come to you.
  5. Reflect. After four days look back at everything you've written. What does it tell you about what you really want in life? What would really make you happy? Now, why not set your goals and make them happen.

What are YOUR Big Dreams? Do you even know what they are?? I think that's the hardest part sometimes!!!
